We are a bookkeeping and corporate tax firm in Vancouver, BC. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We do not sell your personal information.
Only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need: accounting software (QuickBooks Online), email and file storage (Microsoft 365), booking (Cal.com), our website and messaging platform, Google, and Meta. Some of these providers store data outside Canada (for example in the United States), where it may be subject to local laws. We also share client information with the CRA or other government bodies when filing, or when the law requires it.
Our website uses cookies for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Client records are kept for as long as the law requires (the CRA generally requires records to be kept for six years from the end of the tax year they relate to) and then securely destroyed. Enquiries from people who don't become clients are deleted within two years.
Access is limited to people who need it, accounts are password- and multi-factor-protected, and files are stored with reputable providers that encrypt data.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact our privacy officer below. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
